Abstract

The expressway of the Korea has an important role in freight movement because 76 percent of the commodity is transported by trucks. However, there has been few indices on the role of expressways regarding freight transportation and truck traffic. The objective of this study is to propose four freight transportation related indices using ITS-related system such as TCS and HS-Wim: total truck’s travel miles (veh․km/year), total freight transport miles (ton․km/year). efficiency of truck’s travel (veh․km/km), and efficiency of freight movement (ton․km/km). These truck and freight related indices were estimated and compared by two different data sources: traffic volume data using VDS and OD data using TCS. These indices were designed to estimated on real time and updated every day and month.

2014년 기준 국내 약 76% 이상의 화물이 도로를 이용하여 수송되고 있는 만큼 고속도로는 화물수송의 중추적 역할을 수행하고 있다. 그러나 고속도로에서 수송되는 화물자동차 및 화물의 규모를 가늠할 수 있는 지표의 산정방안에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 한국도로공사에서 관리하는 스마트 제한차량 분석시스템(TCS, HS-WIM) 자료를 활용하여 산출 가능한 화물자동차 통행실적(대․km/년), 화물수송실적(톤․km/년), 화물자동차 통행효율(대․km/km), 화물수송효율(톤․km/km) 총 4가지 지표를 선정하였다. 본 연구는 도로교통 통계를 활용한 구간교통량 기반 지표 산정방안과 고속도로 영업소 간 기종점교통량을 활용한 기종점교통량 기반 지표 산정방안의 장․ 단점 및 한계점을 제시하고 평가 및 검증하였다. 또한 고속도로 관리자 입장에서 스마트 제한차량 분석시스템을 활용하여 실시간(1일, 1개월)으로 산출가능한 방법론을 제시한 것에 의의를 가진다.
