Abstract

This study aims to develop operational efficiency and improvement strategies for the metropolitan road transportation system based on congestion analysis by road types in the capital area. The growing demand for metropolitan transportation systems requires comprehensive solutions which consider both the supply approach of roads and the demand approach for road users. In this study, it was examined congestion analysis, traffic volume-velocity distribution analysis, and level of service analysis for main road types of road networks which connect Seoul and surrounding cities and selected poor road segments for driving. Besides, it was suggested new road networks based on the congestion analysis and the improvement strategy for the metropolitan mass transportation systems in the aspect of road traffic.

본 연구에서는 수도권 광역도로교통의 혼잡도를 도로유형별로 분석하고 이를 토대로 수도권 광역교통체계 개선 및 운영 효율화 방안을 마련하고자 한다. 증가하는 수도권 광역교통 수요에 대한 효율적 대응은 도로의 공급적 접근과 이용자의 수요적 접근을 동시에 고려한 복합적 해답을 요구한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수도권 광역도로교통 현황을 파악하기 위해 혼잡도 분석, 교통량-속도 분포 분석, 서비스수준 분석을 실시하고 주요 도로유형별, 도로축별 문제점을 진단하였으며, 서울과 주변 주요 도시들과의 연결축 분석을 통해 주행환경 열악구간을 선정하였다, 또한 분석된 수도권의 도로교통 혼잡도를 토대로 주요 도로축 주변의 신규 도로망을 구상하고 도로교통 부문에서의 광역 대중교통체계 개선방안을 마련하였다.
