As a carbon-neutral implementation plan in the transportation sector, a policy to promote electric vehicles is being promoted. In particular, the size of small electric trucks in Korea is growing rapidly, with more than 80,000 registered units as of 2022. To facilitate the conversion of electric trucks, a stable charging infrastructure environment is more important than anything else. However, charging infrastructure problems are already occuring in Korea, such as congestion at public charging stations on highways due to electric truck charging. This paper aims to analyze the electric truck charging pattern as an important basic data for future electric truck charging infrastructure planning and discuss the major implications that should be reflected in the charging infrastructure policy.As for the data used in this study, charging usage data for a week of a total of 156 electric truck drivers was used, and as an analysis method, average charging frequency analysis by charging infrastructure type and Latent Class Analysis for individual driver type analysis were applied. As a result of the average charging frequency analysis, electric trucks have a higher charging frequency than electric passenger cars, and in particular, the charging frequency of public rapid chargers is high. As a result of the potential class analysis, the electric truck charging type and its probability were 33.7% for the garage slow charging type, 60.7% for the mixed charging type, and 5.6% for the public fast charging type. The policy implications on charging infrastructure policy are as follows. First, it is important to expand public rapid charging infrastructure for electric truck transition. In particular, since commercial vehicles are more dependent on public fast chargers, the demand for commercial truck charging should be fully considered in future public fast charging infrastructure policies. Second, it is important to secure rapid charging technology that can overcome the charging time constraints in order to convert commercial vehicles. In order to promote the transition to electric trucks, it is necessary to secure a charging system that is more advantageous in terms of convenience and economy compared to conventional diesel trucks.
